Damasko oznámilo dostupnosť ich nového modelu DSub2.
When it comes to the DSub2, functional reliability at water pressures of up to 30 bars (300 metres), good readability even in poor visibility conditions, and reliable accuracy are all standard. Among other things, the watch reaches premium product status through its special material. The casing, base, moving bezel, and crown are made from high-strength, austenitic submarine steel; a material which is trusted by the German marines for good reason. All components are hardened on the surface, making them particularly scratch-resistant. Its fundamental characteristic is its high ductility, which means that, even under high stress, the casing itself reacts in such an elastic way that it does not crack. Furthermore, the steel is permanently resistant to seawater, failing to corrode even with frequent use in salt water. Of course, the material also demonstrates excellent anti-magnetic qualities. The base of the watch is solidly screwed in place and sealed with a Viton™ o-ring. The patented DAMASKO crown system of screwing the hardened tube into the casing allows for problem-free operation underwater.
What’s more, real DAMASKO innovation comes to light through the diver ring, arranged from 5 to 55, rotatable on one side. It is as equally hardened as its insert, and is equipped with the patented scratch and abrasion-proof DAMEST® coating. Three ceramic ball bearing elements ensure for an exact positioning of the bezel. In addition to the white and orange coloured diving scale, the reliable readability of the diving time, and thus optimal planning of the vital decompression phase, is guaranteed. The hour indices, with their long-lasting, special ‘Superluminova C1’ (Grade A) luminous paint, clearly stand out from the matte blue face. The domed sapphire glass is equipped with an anti-reflective coating on both sides.
The heart of the DAMASKO Dsub2 is a mechanical movement (ETA 2824-2) with automatic winding, 25 ruby bearings, and 28,800 half oscillations per hour. On a functional level, hours, minutes, and central second are displayed, with date being displayed on a special position.
